Biography

Dr. Mari Buziashvili is a Research Epidemiologist at the National Center for Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases in Tbilisi, Georgia. She graduated from Tbilisi State Medical University (TSMU) with a degree in Pharmacy, then received her Master’s Degree in Public Health from the International School of Public Health (ISPH), Tbilisi State Medical University. Her research interest is in infectious diseases, especially dangerous pathogens that can be used as bioterrorism agents. Dr. Buziashvili hopes to learn skills necessary for framing a good team for future development of public health programs, and to be a strong leader for this team.
