Biography

Dr. María Fernanda Kroker Lobos holds a doctorate in population nutrition from the Instituto Nacional de Salud Pública (INSP), Cuernavaca, Mexico. Fernanda received a master’s degree in public nutrition from the Universidad de San Carlos of Guatemala, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in nutrition from the Universidad del Valle de Guatemala. Dr. Kroker is interested in translating nutritional epidemiology research into public policy and hopes to learn leadership principles and mentoring skills during her time as a PH-LEADER participant.

Project Title: Nutritional food labeling rules and regulations in Latin America: a systematic review
